Cypriot Multiplier Event for OLMEdu project

The event took place on the 15th of February 2023 at the premises of Frederick University in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The 2nd Multiplier Event (ME2) - Cypriot Multiplier Event for the Dissemination of OLMEdu Project Results took place successfully on the 15th of February 2023 at the premises of Frederick University in Nicosia, Cyprus followed by a networking event.


OLMEdu project is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to address the challenge of digital transformation in Higher Education (HE) of Management Education (ME), which has been imposed the last years, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This transformation has stressed the need to offer support and training to Higher Education staff (HES) of ME sector in acquiring the appropriate ICT knowledge and skills to successfully support e-learning.


The opening of the event was performed by Dr Achilleas Achilleos (FredU) who briefly presented the objectives, findings, major results and all intellectual outputs (IO1, IO2, IO3 and IO4) of the OLMEdu project to a variety of stakeholders at a national level. Following this, a detailed description of the developed training material took place by Dr Celia Hadjichristodoulou from GX who described to the participants the significance of this novel training material and discussed the possibilities of its potential applications in other HE sectors. The OLMedu platform and innovative tool were also presented in a form of a live tutorial by Dr Achilleas Achilleos and the applicability and exploitation of both was further analysed in a form of discussion with the participants.


For the closing of the event, key-note speakers were invited to share their experiences and expertise in the technological advancement of digital tools and methods in management education and the challenges that Cyprus faced during the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of immediate digitalisation of educational methods. For these sections, Dr Petroula Mavrikiou, Associate Professor of Frederick University talked about the Digital Methods and Tools used to address the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic: the case of Frederick, and Mr Dimitris Tolis from Human Asset Cyprus shared his knowledge on Neuropedagogy: The Magic of Creating (e)Learning Experiences that Stick, engaging the audience with their insights on the matters.


Participants and Speakers had the opportunity to network, discuss, debate, share their ideas, concerns and discuss further on the topic, with relevant stakeholders, at the Networking Event which took place right after the conclusion of the event.


The ME was characterised by success since 57 people attended with physical presence while 10 people participated online. All measures for protection against the Covid pandemic had been taken into consideration during the implementation of the ME in order to ensure the participants’s safety.
